Gateway is one of eight Merseyside Strategic Investment Areas (SIAs) that have
been identified as having the greatest potential for economic growth with the
help of European Objective 1 funding.</b></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2" color="#000033">The
Atlantic Gateway SIA covers parts of South Sefton and North Liverpool and is
overseen by a Steering Group which includes representatives from both areas.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2" color="#000033"><b>The
aims of Atlantic Gateway are to :</b></font></p>
